“After years on the ground with officers, reimagining and perfecting the fundamentals of public safety software, it’s really gratifying to have the kind of year we had in 2017,” said Scott Crouch, CEO & Co-Founder of Mark43. “This latest round of funding, coupled with new growth hires, perfectly positions Mark43 to capitalize on the momentum we were able to generate following our Series B and bring new products like digital evidence management to market.”

To spearhead the company’s growth and new partnerships, Mark43 welcomes two former executives from Google Cloud for Government. David Mihalchik will serve as Mark43’s Chief Growth Officer and Manosh Chakravorty as Director of Global Sales.

Founded in 2012, Mark43 set-out to redefine the legacy approach and software used by first responders to keep communities safe. The solutions developed by Mark43 are transforming the critical operations and pressing issues law enforcement and public safety agencies face.

Mark43’s cloud-based public safety platform has been adopted by dozens of police departments across California, the District of Columbia, New Jersey, Oregon and Washington State to help first responders make informed decisions in an efficient manner. The Series C funding will help further adoption and deployment of its platform used to improve criminal justice information sharing across jurisdictions and provide secure and cost-effective hosting for multi-level agency environments. The company’s RMS application reduces the amount of time officers spend writing up reports, thereby allowing them to spend more time in their vehicles and protecting the streets.

Washington DC’s police department experienced a 50% reduction in arrest report writing time, 80% reduction in incident/offense reporting time, translating to 238,000 officer hours saved per year on report writing effectively adding 110 officers to patrol.

“It’s been an honor to be a part of Mark43’s growth,” said Ron Bouganim, Managing Partner of the Govtech Fund. “This team’s authentic commitment to improving the safety and efficiency of law enforcement agencies has earned them the respect of leading police chiefs and officers throughout the US public safety sector. More importantly, reliable and consistent policing enables citizens to support the “heroes without capes” that dedicate their lives to protecting their communities. Law enforcement is one of society’s most visible examples of government doing collectively what we each cannot do individually. As Mark43 helps to modernize police departments, they repair a critical component of society’s connective tissue.’”

We are so proud to partner with Mark43 and congratulate the entire team on this significant milestone!
