Surge on the West Coast continues for Mark43 with the opening of its Manhattan Beach office

We’re pleased to share our portfolio company Mark43 continues to grow, reporting a successful major city deployment of its Record Management System (RMS) in this first half of 2017. The venture-backed company has raised more than $40 million and employs nearly 100 people in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Toronto and the Washington, D.C. area offices.

As CEO and cofounder Scott Crouch described in his blog posted yesterday, 2017 continues to be a fruitful year for the startup with major announcements of new clients coming soon.

Fun fact: the success out west began years ago for Mark43. In the summer of 2013, before the team permanently set-up shop in New York City, they moved to Los Angeles to work with a few departments in the county willing to mentor them. Eager to help, the team of millenials was soon writing code during the day and riding along with first responders on a regular basis at night. “Mark43’s officer-centered approach to design started right in Los Angeles County,” says Crouch.
